POUGHKEEPSIE, NY, JAN. 29 — Butch Leitzinger will be returning full-time with Thetford / Norcold Dyson Racing in 2001. In late October of last year, Butch agreed to return to the Dyson team after spending most of 2000 with the factory Cadillac team.

Leitzinger has had a remarkable career in top-line North American sports car racing. After winning the 1994 Daytona 24 Hours with Nissan, Leitzinger joined Dyson Racing for the 1995 season. With the exception of last season, Leitzinger has been a full-time Dyson driver since 1995. In that time he has racked up 21 victories, including two Daytona 24 Hour wins, and won the 1997 and 1998 World Sports Car Championship along with the 1999 USRRC Can-Am championship. Last year, Leitzinger shared in wins with James Weaver at Lime Rock, Trois-Rivieres, and Watkins Glen.

Each of these victories has come at the wheel of the Dyson team`s Riley and Scott Fords on Goodyear tires. Leitzinger has already expressed his enthusiasm about the coming year, and will elaborate on the 2001 season on www.dysonracing.com in coming weeks. Be sure to tune in for details.

For now, it is onto Daytona, where this year Butch is aiming to join the exclusive club of four-time winners…
